Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD’s)

Physiotherapy intervention – hands on manual therapy, exercise, advice and prevention Effective treatment for a range of conditions such as low back pain, whiplash, repetitive injuries, workplace injury, domestic and sports injury Employer specific – absence management. Offer fast response and early intervention for injuries that are causing an employee to be absent from work or less productive whilst in work. Provides employers with clear feedback on cause of absence, outcome of treatment and any changes in working policy that may assist in prevention.

Ergonomic intervention

– assessment of work related areas potentially causing or exacerbating employees reporting injury, absence or inefficiency in job task. Includes DSE requirements along with assessment and design of other workplace areas.

Stress Management

Psychotherapy intervention – one to one confidential therapy to tackle stress related disorders Assessment and treatment for common stress related conditions such as anxiety, depression, low back pain, repeated absence. Employer specific – fast response and early intervention, along with support and advice for managers and work colleagues to assist employee back into work. Assistance with stress policy and stress survey in workplace

Lifestyle Management

Implementation and effective management of healthy lifestyle promotion within workplace Assistance with health screening, identification of employees with increased risk of health problems and associated absence Support and treatment for employees at risk of health and lifestyle disorders Assistance with health surveys and interpretation

Health Questionnaire

Joints & Points offers a thorough questionnaire service to gain information about working conditions, health of the workforce, disorders of the upper and lower limbs, stress, and general opinions from the workforce about their place of work. This information provides valuable insight for the company on how to plan future investments of equipment and products, design of tasks, and services for employees to improve health and reduce absence in the long term

Design Service

Our bespoke design service has been developed to address work areas that are either producing or have the ability to produce musculoskeletal injury or develop unhealthy levels of stress. Ergonomics along with computer aided design means that we can produce solutions for among other things:

  • Workplace modifications to comply with Disability requirements
